The Three Rivers DDA/Main Street Board of Directors approved the allocation of $18,000.00 from the DDA’s fund balance to move forward with a new proposed retail recruitment grant. The goal of the grant is to attract new retail establishments to reduce the rate of vacancy on Main Street and to provide financial assistance to new business owners who are looking to overcome the barriers of opening a new business.
The goal is also to diversify the retail shopping experiences downtown which will have an impact on the entire Main Street district.
The grant will award applicants up to $6000.00 for eligible project activities and expenses including but not limited to marketing expenses, point of sale systems, and inventory expenses.
